Hiroshima sports team!

What's popular sports in Japan?
In Hiroshima, baseball and soccer teams are really famous!
Today I'd love to introduce these.

Hiroshima baseball team! Our color is red that expresses passion, the symbol is a carp. When the atomic bomb was dropped Hiroshima people formed the baseball team to cheer themselves and named "carp" to overcome hardships like carp go up the river.

Carp baseball stadium was built by the community chest from citizens. Most people donated money for it. From this, you can see how we love carp.

I love the way to cheer. We have so many kinds of ways that people can't remember at once.
We keep doing squat while our batting, and sings different songs for each player, each situation.

Even carp is not strong, still we love to watch and support them!

Hiroshima soccer team! Team Color is violet, the slogan is "we fight together".

They are not storong, either like carp. However hiroshima people love them because they often teach children how to play soccer. we have strong communication!

I believe fun services and handsome players are most in Japan soccer team.

our both teams are not strong but we have strong nationalism for these!
we love and cheer them forever =]

Hiroshima yummmy food

Do you know what famous food are in Hiroshima? I'd like to introduce some of them today =)

Okonomiyaki
most famous food in Hiroshima! there is another kind of okonomiyaki in Osaka, its really difference, heavier food in Hiroshima, because noodles and more vegetable in it.
I love both of them though, to eat enough I would choose Hiroshima one.
their tastes are also different in each okonomiyaki store, so what Hiroshima people built was Okonomiyaki tower in downtown. It has three floors, 25stores in total!! Not only the tower, we have Okonomiyaki museum too. Now you can see how much Hiroshima people love okonomiyaki!!

Momijimanjyu
this is also most famous sweets in Hiroshima. this is famous in Miyajima ; where is the one of the World Heritage Site. Its shape is maple, and it's made of a kind of hotcake dough.
There are many kinds of taste like bean paste, chocolate, cream, and cheese. My favorites are all of them, actually.
Not only tastes, but also there are many kinds of momiji manjyu such as Momijimanjyu soft cream ice (we call it Momiman ice) ; it has momijimanjyu in the ice cream! and Momiji manjyu fry : fried momijimanjyu. I really love it!

they are cheap and small so that you can try many different momijimanjyu!

I hope readers got hungry after reading this, Hiroshima food are so good and unique. I can't live without them. As I wrote this blog, I'm getting miss them.
So what I want to say is you should eat these food if you come to Hiroshima!★

hiroshima festival

In Hiroshima there are two big festivals, flower festival and Toukasan.
We had flower festival on GW, and will have Toukasan in June, so if you get interested in these festivals after reading this, you should go to Toukasan this June, flower festival next year!!

Flower festival- it takes 5days, each days has different huge parades, events and concerts. There are many kinds of food stands so that you can eat all Hiroshima's food there. Like the below left picture, parades are really exiting, not only car but also a lot of groups are marching such as band group, dance group, everyone looks fun!! My high school joins parade every year, batton club and marching band club. Anyway you can see what Hiroshima is through this festival!

Secondly I'd like to introduce Toukasan, the biggest summer festival in Hiroshima. Through this festival we can feel that summer coming, and we wear yukata (traditional cloth for summer festival) for the first time in a year. Like flower festival, we enjoy parade, walking around, and eating! I usually don't like crowds but I love to go there, because I love food stands and I can see many friends there.
This year it will be held from 6th June to 8th.
